"The 'd' sound is made by the tip of the tongue touching the ridge just above and behind the upper teeth. The tongue does not touch the upper teeth." Information taken from Pronunciation Drills by Edith Trager.
To pronounce "dr" words such as dream, drum, drown, drill, drop, etc., move the tongue forward to touch the inside of the upper teeth.
