What is the value of x when x^x^x^x... = 8?

By putting the first 20 or so powers into desmos, I can see that at y=8, xis is approximately 1,4 (sqrt(2) maybe) but solving the infinite series sqrt2^sqrt2^sqrt2... I get 2, which isn't 8, so I'm stuck at this point.
