ἐξ ex - out of, from, exodus - odus- means road.

ἑξ hex- six, six sided, hexagon

εἰδον id- idea, having seen (in my mind)

πολὐς poly- many - polygon

πατήρ pater - paternal

μάτηρ - mater - maternal

and several thousand more.
