Hey! Are you sure it is asking for polar form? If yes, then
square root of 3 comes from tangent 60 degrees from the Unit Circle where
tan60 = (root(3)/2) / (1/2) = (root(3) / 2) * (2/1) = root(3).
The degree form of tangent is y/x = sin(θ)/cos(θ) = tanθ.
Hence, r(θ) = atanθ is the polar form, where a is the coefficient of revolutions around the Unit Circle.
