You use a comma before a conjunctions when it is joining two complete sentences. Since "we already have a toaster" could be a sentence by itself, you need a comma before the "and."
However, neither sentence is correct, because "No gifts, please" is a sentence by itself. You need a period or a semi-colon after please, or a conjunction added. You could say, "No gifts please, because we already have . . . .
