The best we can do is, for x=-3,since x^2 = 9,
9p -3 (5p+1) + 8k - 1 = 0
9p - 15p - 3 + 8k - 1 = 0
-6p - 4 + 8k = 0
Now, IF you meant that k really is p due to a typo, you typed k instead of p, then
2p - 4 = 0
2p = 4
p = 2
the quadratic equation is then 2x^2 + 11x + 15 = 0
( 2x + 5 )(x + 3 ) = 0
The other solution is x = -5/2
