height * width = area
x(x+24) = 3456
x^2 + 24x - 3456 = 0
(x + 72 )(x - 48 ) = 0
x+72 = 0 results in negative measures
x = 48

Nickole V.
asked 03/07/19The area of a rectangular television screen is 3456 in^2. The width of the screen is 24 inches longer than the height. What is a quadratic equation that represents the area of the screen? What are the dimensions of the screen? I was gone for four days and I don't understand. If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated
