Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
Let the ages that are 7 years apart be the original x and the second person is (x+7) such that a third of the sum of their ages is 33 such that
(1/3)(x + (x+7)) = 33 ..............We multiply each side by (3/1) to get
(2x+7) = 99...............Now subtract 7 to both sides such that
2x = 96............Then divide 2 such that
x = 46
So the first person is 46 years old and the second person is (46+7) = 53 years old
I hope this helped!
