Solve for h: 15.3 + 1h = 1.3 − 1h

Question

I'm unsure how it would work because wouldn't moving h to where the other h is make them cancel each other out? (As you can see I'm kinda confused :))

If they were the same signs on both sides of the equation they would cancel out. Since they're opposite signs they would add (or subtract, depends on which side you move them to).
