-6y + -9 - 1 = -4y + -24 + 2y


-6y + -10 = -2y + -24


-10 = 4y + -24


14 = 4y

14/4 = y

7/2 = y


CHECK:

left side: -3 ( 2*7/2 + 3) - 1 = -3 ( 7 + 3) - 1 = -3(10) - 1 = -30 - 1 = -31

right side -4 ( 7/2 + 6) + 2(7/2) = -4 ( 19/2) + 7 = -38 + 7 = -31


the answer is x=7/2
