Find the equation on the line passing through the points (-7,-1) & (-9,-3).

(-7,-1) & (-9,-3)

y = mx + b

m = (-3 - -1)/(-9 - -7) = -2/-2 = 1, this is the slope

y = -1x + b

-3 = (-1)(-9) + b

-3 = 9 + b

b = -12 this is the y intercept

y = -x - 12
