2(w-3) = L

2w - 3 = L

Perimeter = 2 * length + 2 * width

36 = 2( 2w-3) + 2w

36 = 4w - 6+ 2w

36 = 6w - 6

42 = 6w

w=7

width is 7 and length is 2(7)-3=14-3 = 11
