IF it's a 10 x 10 meter square = 100 square meters, then sides are 10 each. At first it may seem to be 4 x10 =40 posts, but you have to subtract 4, given the overlap of sides in the 4 corners.
But if you meant 10 square meters then sides are the sqr10 = 3.16 approximately for each of the 4 sides. That means slightly more than 3 x 3 with 3(4)=12-4= 8 posts. It doesn't come out to an integer for the number of posts, so you probably meant the 10 x10 square, requiring 36 posts.
