I’m sure I’m too late to help, but perhaps someone in the audience would like to know. Let’s step forward a little bit: Since m+1 is odd, m must be even. Also, since n-1 is odd, n must be even. Answer 1: mn is even*even Answer 2: m(n-1) is even * odd Answer 3: (m-1)*(n+1) is odd*odd Finally, which of these result in an even value?
