Density = mass/volume and mass = density x volume
We know the density, and are asked for the mass of the aluminum sheet. From the other information provided, we can first calculate the volume of the sheet, and then solve for mass.
Volume of the sheet = L x W x H, but we must first get all the units to be the same. I will convert all to cm since the density is given in volume units of ml which is the same as cubic cm.
L = 8 ft x 12 inches/ft x 2.54 cm/inch = 244 cm
W = 12 ft x 12 inches/ft x 2.54 cm/inch = 366 cm
H = 0.25 mm x 1 cm/10 mm = 0.025 cm
Volume = 244 cm x 366 cm x 0.025 cm = 2233 cm3 = 2233 ml
Mass = (2.70 g/ml)(2233 ml) = 6029 g
Mass in kg = 6029 g x 1 kg/1000 g = 6.03 kg
