Ask a question

If exponents are part of inside parentheses, do you solve the exponent first or what? ie: (2x3 squared). Does it become 2x9 or 6 squared?

I have no idea, the question seems perfectly clear to me

I the exponent is inside the parenthesis, then it should be found before multiplying

(2X32) = (2X9)

Cool that's what I thought but its been a few years and there are all these algebra problems on Facebook lately that reminded me.   Ok it's really been almost 60 years.     Thanks
