Hello Donna,
In order to determine which brand is less expensive, all you need do is divide the amount of money paid by the amount in kg.
For Brand A you divide 50 by 5 kg and see that the cost per kg is $10.00 per kg.
For Brand B you divide 48 by 4 kg and see that the cost per kg is $12.00 per kg,
Therefore, we see that Brand A is less expensive because the price per kg is $10.00 where Brand B's price is $12.00 per kg.
