Remember whatever you do to one side of the equation must be done to the other side as well.
6x-14=7y
In order to isolate y on one side, you need to divide by 7 on both sides. 7y divided by 7 will leave you with 1y, otherwise shown as simply y. That will give you the equation in terms of y=....
