2x^2 -5x - 3 > 0
x = 3, x = -.5 are the solutions to the equation using the quadratic formula. But, it is an inequality, so, x >3, and x< -.5
Test: if x = 4, then 2x^2 -5x - 3 > 0 = 9>0 True.
Test: if x = -.6, then 2x^2 -5x - 3 > 0 = .72 + 3 - 3 = .72 which is >0
