Originally there were 240 boys (20% of 1200).
This problem tacitly assumes that ONLY boys enrolled and the necessary equation is
(240+x)/(1200+x) = 1/4 where x is the # of new boys
240 + x =300 + (x/4)
60 = 3x/4

In September the total enrollment of school was 1200 students. Of these students 20% of them were boys. In October some boys enrolled in the school and the percent of students that were boys changed to 25%. How many boys enrolled in the school in October?
