The scale factor is 1 cm = 5 feet.
One easy method is to use The Multiplicative Identity, that is, 1. Any number multiplied by 1 has the same value, although the units may change. This is also called dimensional analysis.
Here:
1 = (1 cm) / (5 feet)
1 = (5 feet) / (1 cm)
Use the one that allows units to cancel.
30 feet
(30 feet) * (1 cm) / (5 feet)
6 cm
15 feet
(15 feet) * (1 cm) / (5 feet)
3 cm
The length of the scale drawing is 6 cm and the width is 3 cm.
