Find the probability that it will take for a pair of fair dice, in more than 6 tosses, to throw a 7.

Answer 1

Not rolling a 7, means rolling everything else!

Two dice have 36 possible outcomes (List them if you do not believe me)

Of those 36, 6 total 7 (Again list them!)

So 30 of them do not.

On the first roll the probability of not a 7 is 30/36 or 5/6

For six rolls that is (5/6)⁶
