Volume of a cylinder is pi x r2 x h. Pi is 3.14. I presume your height is 12 cm and your diameter is 8 cm. R is 1/2 of diameter. So your formula would be 3.14 x 42 x 12.

Considering the can as a cylinder, the volume V = π r2 h
V = (3.14)(4 cm)2(12 cm) = 603 cm3 (603 ml)
(Note: if using correct significant figures, answer would be 600 ml)
