Welp this Is in my math homework..... Help?

My mom likes to support my efforts on the cycling team, so she is always there to watch me race. At the last race, she became so excited that she promised to buy me four cupcakes for every three laps I completed. I completed the whole race, a whopping 24 laps! How many cupcakes did my mom buy me? Show your work?

You can solve this proportion using equal ratios method:

(4/3) = x/24 ---> x = 32 since top and bottom are multiplied by 8

Or you can solve this proportion using cross multiplication:
