Greek alphabet was derived from the Phoenician 22 character alphabet.

Military was mostly likely developed with contact from the Egyptians or some of the other people of the Levant besides the Phoenicians (the Hittites perhaps) Greeks were an Aryan root from Indo European so some of them migrated down from the stepps of Central Europe to the Balkans. Its clearly in the literature of the time "the Sky people" ...The religious systems were from older Egyptian and even Middle Eastern Gods and Goddesses most likely.
