Depends on how you define the word "smell". I would use the word "detect", because pheromones are airborne materials that are "detected" by the olfactory system. So no, they don't have a specific "smell" like, say, an onion, or garlic. You wouldn't really know if you've "smelled" or "detected" someone's pheromone, other than to perhaps have a physiologic reaction, such as being attracted to them, or feeling sorry for them, or getting a "vibe" to leave them alone, etc.
