Write a system of equations to describe the situation below, solve using any method, and fill in the blanks.

Kathleen went to play miniature golf on Monday, when it cost $16 to rent the club and ball, plus $2 per game. Quincy went Thursday, paying $5 per game, plus rental fees of $1. By coincidence, they played the same number of games for the same total cost. How much did each one spend? How many games did each one play?

Let n be the # of games

K paid 16 + 2n

Q paid 1 + 5n

and since they both paid the same amount

16 + 2n = 1 + 5n
