I’m doing the Pythagorean theorem and there’s a question asking me to fill in the blanks. What do I fill in for this?

Pythagoras realized that you have a right triangle and you know the lengths of the _________ __________ that make up the right angle, and add them together, you get the same number you would by subtracting the other side.
