Is this an odd/even function?

f(x) = -k       -π<x<0

       = k    0<x< π

Is this function even/odd and Why??

How to find the nature of function when such inequalities are given??

Even function: f(-x) = f(x) example: x²

Odd function: f(-x) = - f(x) example sin x or your example!

Note that an even function is symmetric about the y axis and an odd function must have f(0) = 0
