(1/3)(3/4) = 3/12 = 1/4 of a pizza eaten.
3/4 - 1/4 = 1/2 of a pizza left

Hi Elliot, To solve this problem, you must first find the LCM (Least common multiple) of the two denominators. Since 4 (Denominator of the first fraction) * 3 = 12, and 3 (Denominator of the second fraction) * 4 = 12, then 12 is the LCM. When you change the denominator, you have to multiply the numerator as well. 3/4 * 3/3 = 9/12 1/3 * 4/4 = 4/12 9 - 4 = 5 So the answer to your problem is 5/12.11/06/18
