The width of a rectangle is 8 inches less than 2 times the length. If the perimeter of the rectangle is at least 270 inches, find the smallest possible measurements of the dimensions.

2L + 2(2L-8) = 270

2L + 4L - 16 = 270

6L = 286

L = 47 and 2/3

w=2( 47 and 2/3) - 8 = 87 and 1/3

2L + 2w = 2(L+w) = 2 ( 87 and 1/3 + 47 and 2/3) = 2 ( 135) = 270
