Perimeter (explain how to do this as well please.)

Question

The second side of a triangle is 8cm less than the first side. The third side is 14cm more than the first side. The perimeter of the triangle is 63cm. Find the length of each side of the triangle.

second side is x-8

third side is x+14

x + x - 8 + x+14 = 63

3x + 6 = 63

3x = 57
