This isn't geometry, but nonetheless...
You would have to know the conversion factor of ounces to grams or grams to ounces. This is that 1 ounce is equal to 28.35 grams. The other conversion is there are 454 grams in 1 pound.
30 oz x 28.35 grams/oz = 851 grams
or done a different way...
1lb = 454 g
14 oz = 14 x 28.35 = 397 g
Add them together to get 454 + 397 = 851 grams
