Maria got some sweet baseball cards because she loves baseball. She spent a lot of money and bought 456 cards. She then bought a book to put those cards in. She can fit 11 cards on each page. How many cards will be on the last page?

Division, or subtraction...

Let's change this problem to a similar one. For example, you have 9 cards and bought a book to put the cards in. Only 2 cards can fit on a page. How many cards would be left over. 9 divided by 2 is 4 with one left over.

I could also use subtraction... 9 - 2 = 7, 7-2 = 5, 5-2 = 3, 3-2 = 1, and 1 is left over.
