PEMDAS adding parentheses to: 17-25-1+3x5=12

How do I add parentheses to this equation in order to make it equal? I am learning PEMDAS, but I dont understand how to do this problem. The equation is: 17-25-1+3*5=12

17 - (25 - 20) =

17 - 5 =

There may be another method to solve this but it appears that there is more than 1 set of parentheses.

17 - (25 - ((1 + 3) * 5)) = 12
