A truck can be rented from Company A for $100 a day plus $0.20 per mile. Company B charges $40 a day plus $0.60 per mile to rent the same truck. Find the number of miles in a day at which the rental costs for Company A and Company B are the same.

100 + 0.20 x = 40 + 0.6 x
60 + 0.20x = 0.6x <-- subtracts 40 from both sides
60 = 0.4x <--- subtracts 0.2x from both sides
600 = 4x <--- multplies both sides by 10
x = 150 <-- divides both sides by 4

The easiest way I would do this problem would be to create a chart with 3 columns (miles, company A cost, and company B cost) and have the miles go up by 50.10/10/18
