if two forces are in the same direction, they cancel each other out.

this is for science and i need help please help me. i am begging for help.

Matthew R.

This is how I look at it. A man is driving his car down a plowed road after a snow storm. He turns on to a street that has not been plowed and gets stuck. A man who was shoveling his drive way sees the man in the stuck car. He puts his shovel down and goes over to the man in the car and introduces himself as Force A and offers his help to get the car unstuck. The offer is accepted and Force A gets behind the car and pushes with all as much force as he can exert. But the car barely moves. Another man also shoveling his driveway see what going on and comes over to help. His name is Force B. Force B get behind the car with Force A and they both push with as much force as they can muster up the street. They succeed in getting the car unstuck and the man in the car is very grateful. This is an example of 2 forces acting in the same direction on a singular object.
