two trains are 5000 feet apart on separate tracks heading toward each other. at the same time and travel towards each other . one train travels at 45 miles per hour while the other travels at 24 miles per hour. about how far will each train travel before they meet? How many seconds till they meet?

     24t=distance train B travels at 24mph

The distance that both trains travel must equal 5000ft: 5000ft X 1mile/5280ft=5000mile/5280=.94697miles. Therefore, we get            45t+24t=.94697

Train A travels 45t=45(.01372)=.6174 miles=3259.872 feet.
