What you have submitted is not a division problem but a multiplication of 2 trinomials.

The easiest way to do this is to use the distributive law:

The product is x³(x² - 3x + 4)+ 2x²(x² - 3x +4) + 8(x² - 3x + 4).  Then collect like terms.

 

Of course you can set it up as a multiplication exactly as you would to multiply 2 three-digit nmbers together!

(x³ + 2x² + 8)(x² - 3x + 4)

Don't know why the title says division when we're multiplying with distribution, but okay.

x³ * x² = x⁵

x³ * -3x = -3x⁴

x³ * 4 = 4x³

 

2x² * x² = 2x⁴

2x² * -3x = -6x³

2x² * 4 = 8x²

 

8 * x² = 8x²

8 * -3x = -24x

8 * 4 = 32

 

So we have the following:

x⁵ - 3x⁴ + 4x³ + 2x⁴ - 6x³ + 8x² + 8x² - 24x + 32

Combine like terms for your final answer.
