If the point (1,-4) is reflected in the line x=2 (a vertical line), then the y-coordinate is unchanged. The x-coordinate of the original point (preimage) is one unit less than 2, so the x-coordinate of the reflected point is one unit more than 2.
So, the point (1,-4) is reflected to the point (3,-4).
