How do I solve this equation 13x^2+18x=35-8x^2+4x

I’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work

Group like terms, all on one side of the equation.  You will get a quadratic equation in x.

 

13x² + 18x = 35 - 8x² + 4x

 

(13 + 8)x² + (18 - 4)x - 35 = 0

 

21x² + 14x - 35 = 0

 

Divide through by 7 to simplify this a little.

 

3x² + 2x - 5 = 0

 

Now solve this last equation using the quadratic formula, which I assume you are familiar with.
