If the length and width of a rectangle are both doubled what is the ratio of the area of the larger rectangle to the area of the smaller rectangle

If a rectangle length is 3 and the width is 2, then the area is 2 x 3 = 6.

If another rectangle is double the length and width, the area is 4 x 6 = 24.

So the ratio between the two is 4:1
