Let x = discounted price

 

Then, x + 0.125x = 6300

 

               1.125x = 6300    x = $5600

Amount of discount = 6300 - 5600 = $700

 

5600 / 6300 = 0.8889

 

Discount percentage: 1 - 0.8889 = 0.1111

 

   Veronica received an 11.11% discount.
