Verify that the area of this rectangle is 360 sq.cm

A.they asked to find the perimeter,i got p=6x+6 from a rectangle with L as 2x and W as x+3.  By doing 2x+2x+x+3+x+3.

 

B. if they perimeter is 78cm,find the dimensions of the rectangle. So I plugged in 78 to p=6x+6. 

 

78=6x+6

72=6x

12=x

 

c. is what I need help on. How does the info I have above help me solve or verify that the area is 360.

The width is x + 3 or 15

(15)(24) = 360
