Medicine distributor (super stockist) paid for 25 strips = x

 

The stockist paid for 25 strips = x+ 20% of x =x+0.2x = 1.2 x

 

retail shop paid for 25 strips = 1.2 x + 5% of 1.2 x =1.2 x + 0.06x= 1.26x

 

patient paid for 25 strips = 1.26x + 12.5% of 1.26x=1.26x +0.1575x = 1.4175 x

 

given that patient paid 107.73 for 1 strip

 

so for 25 strip patient paid = 107.73 * 25= 2693.25

 

so

1.4175x = 2693.25

 

x = 1900
