asked 08/29/18i need help. I have a Rectangle that is 6cm long and X wide.
I cant figure out how to solve this problem and my notes from school wont help. please help me solve it! the value of the perimeter of the figure is equal to the value of the area. Find the value of x.

2(6 + x) = 6x
12 + 2x = 6x
4x = 12
x = 3

So, if the value of the perimeter is equal to the value of the area, then
L*X= 2L+ 2X (where L = length and X = width)
if length (L) = 6 cm then,
6X = 12 + 2X
4X = 12
X = 3
So the width (X) is 3 cm.
