Also, try thinking of money.  Would you rather have 15 dollars, 6 dollars, 4 dollars, or negative seven dollars (owing $7)!

So think of the big negatives as the least!

Elissa, use a paper and pencil to draw a number line from -15 to 15.  Put you points on it.  Then you can SEE that negative numbers are less than positive numbers, but still follow an order.  You can do it!
