What do you do for the x y intercept method when x= a fraction

when trying to plot the x and y intercept on a graph, what do you do when x is a fraction?

I assume (bad decision!) that the equation is y = mx + b where m is a fraction.

 

The y intercept is still the value of y when x = 0.

 

The x intercept is still the value of x when y = 0
