simultaneous equations:
a = l x w
l = 2w +3
a = (2w + 3)w= 35
2w^2 + 3w = 35
2w^2 + 3w - 35 = 0
Factor ( or use quadratic eq.):
(2w - 7) (w + 5) = 0
w = 7/2 (also, w = -5, but a width can not be a negative number)
