If the radii of two circles are 6 and 10, What is the scale factor of the circles and what is the ratio areas of the circles?

Scale factor is 6/10 = 3/5 = small to big

 

Area = pi * radius ^2

 

pi cancels out when finding the ratio....

 

6^2 / 10^2 = 36/100 = 18/50 = 9/25
